I&C Energo a.s. and KHNP have signed a Preliminary Agreement related to Dukovany Units 5 and 6
Although the final contract between ČEZ and KHNP was not signed on Wednesday, 7 May 2025, KHNP concluded its first binding agreements in Prague with Czech companies regarding future cooperation on the construction of new nuclear units at the Dukovany site. Among the companies involved was I&C Energo a.s.
According to Minister of Industry and Trade Lukáš Vlček, the signed contracts secure a 30% share for Czech companies in the project. The long-term goal of achieving 60% domestic industry participation remains in place. However, some uncertainty was introduced by a decision of the Regional Court in Brno on Tuesday, which issued a preliminary injunction blocking the final signing of the contract for the construction of the Dukovany nuclear units.
