I&C Energo and Doosan Škoda Power to Collaborate on Generator Replacement at the Temelín NPP
I&C Energo and Doosan Škoda Power are expanding their cooperation in the nuclear energy sector. Based on a newly signed Cooperation Agreement, I&C Energo will participate in the generator replacement project at the Temelín Nuclear Power Plant.
Exactly one month after the contract for the generator replacement between ČEZ, a.s. and Doosan Škoda Power was signed, a Cooperation Agreement between Doosan Škoda Power and I&C Energo was concluded on 9 October 2025. The ceremonial signing was attended by the top executives of both companies.
I&C Energo has been involved in the tender process since 2024 as a subcontractor to Doosan Škoda Power. Within the project implementation, it will be responsible for completing activities in the areas of control systems, field instrumentation, electronic fire alarm systems (EPS), electrical systems, piping systems, and other mechanical work, covering all phases from project design (BD/DD), supply, installation, testing, and participation in commissioning.
“This project confirms our long-standing expertise in the nuclear energy sector and demonstrates the trust of our partners. We particularly value the open and professional approach of Doosan Škoda Power, which enables us to jointly execute technically demanding projects in nuclear power plants,” stated Jiří Holinka, MBA, CEO and Chairman of the Board of I&C Energo.
The newly signed Cooperation Agreement builds on previously successful projects aimed at increasing performance at the Temelín and Mochovce Nuclear Power Plants and also represents a promise of further collaboration, including, among others, on the planned new nuclear units at Dukovany. “Collaboration with I&C Energo is a logical step based on their experience in providing system solutions for nuclear energy. The generator replacement at the Temelín NPP is a technically and logistically highly demanding project that requires top-level coordination and a reliable partner. We are confident that together we will ensure the successful completion of this key modernization,” said Youngki Lim, CEO of Doosan Škoda Power.
