Reconstruction of MV Switchgear at the Mělník Heating Plant

I&C Energo a.s. has entered into a Contract for Work with Energotrans, a.s. for the reconstruction of two medium-voltage (MV) switchgear units within the premises of the Mělník Heating Plant.

The scope of work includes the elaboration of project documentation, dismantling of the existing 6 kV switchgear, and the supply and installation of two new MV switchgear units comprising 14 and 24 fully equipped panels, respectively.

The implementation of the project consists of disconnecting the existing control and power cabling, carrying out civil modifications to accommodate the new switchgear, installation of the new switchgear panels, and reconnection of the existing MV and control cabling. Prior to energisation of the switchgear, connection to the customer’s existing control systems will be carried out, including the supply and installation of the required hardware and modifications to the existing software.

Installation works will be carried out by I&C Energo’s permanent employees in the presence of a supervisor from ABB.

The commencement of the project is scheduled for February 2026, with final handover of the completed works to the customer planned for December 2026.
