Energotrans, a.s. – Modernization of the Starting Transformer AUE 23

In 2024, I&C Energo successfully implemented and completed the modernization of the starting transformer AUE 23 at the Mělník Power Plant.

The subject of the project was the supply and installation of a new 16 MVA power transformer, including testing, commissioning, and the preparation of complete project documentation.

The scope of the project included the dismantling of the existing transformer, delivery and installation of the new power transformer, supply and commissioning of new digital electrical protections, modifications for placing the transformer in position, provision of supplies and installation of new high-voltage (HV), low-voltage (LV) cabling, ultra-high voltage (UHV) AlFe cables, and connection of the transformer to the existing control system.
