ICE220 AE and ICE85 AE Blower Units

I&C Energo has manufactured and delivered blower units for the nuclear power plants in Temelín, Dukovany, Kozloduy (Bulgaria), and Paks (Hungary). These units are supplied with technical documentation, and we ensure the participation of technicians during installation and commissioning.

The blowers are designed for intake of air or aggressive gases and their subsequent transportation without oil. They are used in various technologies, such as gas cleaning systems, hydrogen combustion, and radiation control. These blowers are non-standard designs that differ from standard ones in terms of shaft seals, materials of the main components (austenitic steel), and the condensate drainage opening. The sealing of the transport space and the output shaft is achieved using rotary seals from Trelleborg or Garlock. The seal tightness is further ensured by filling the seals with nitrogen at a pressure higher than the operating pressure of the blower (0.22-0.25 MPa abs.).

The blower can also operate without nitrogen filling of the seals without restrictions. The blower housing is equipped with pre-cast anti-pulsation grooves and a trapezoidal intake opening to reduce pulsations and noise. This significantly reduces the overall noise and pulsation levels in the pipeline, minimizing the vibrations of the intake and discharge pipes and the valves contained within them.
