Dukovany NPP – Reconstruction of GESTRA Steam Traps (Electrical Systems)

I&C Energo a.s. will implement the project “Reconstruction of GESTRA Steam Traps (Electrical Systems)” for G-Team a.s. The scope of work includes the preparation of project documentation for the I&C and electrical systems, as well as the replacement of existing conductivity-based condensate level sensors with a new, more reliable type based on capacitive measurement technology.

In addition to the level sensor upgrade, existing nozzles on individual steam trap pipelines will be replaced, and parts of thermally degraded cabling near the sensors will be renewed. The new cabling must be capable of withstanding continuous operation at temperatures of at least +90°C. The project also includes the replacement of DZ06 electrical panels, including their internal instrumentation, specifically signal converters and power supplies. The selected technology has already been successfully deployed on TG31, where it has proven to be highly reliable. The goal is to unify maintenance standards across all units of the Dukovany Nuclear Power Plant and to reduce failure rates in the automated condensate drainage system of the secondary circuit.

The design phase of the project will be completed within this year, the subsequent implementation will take place during outages of individual units between 2026 and 2028.
