I&C Energo a.s. – stable supplier of maintenance for Czech nuclear power plants

At the end of 2020, I&C Energo a.s. and ČEZ, a.s. concluded implementation contracts for maintenance, repairs and inspections of electrical (LC CE) and control system (LC CM) logic units at the Dukovany and Temelín nuclear power plants for 2021. The mentioned contracts are based on the Framework Agreement on Maintenance and repairs of LC CE and CM logic units at both nuclear power plants closed for the period from 2021 to 2028.

The subject of performance is the comprehensive provision of maintenance and repairs of electrical and control system logic units (LC CM and LC CE) in the form of preparation, management and evaluation of activities performed, incl. providing the necessary materials and spare parts, and ensuring work readiness.

Control system logic units (LC CM) include safety and limiting systems, main unit controllers, technology control systems, information systems, diagnostic systems and, last but not least, a wide range of measurements. Through these systems, the control and regulation of the processes of production, measurement, transmission, processing, visualization and archiving of measured quantities is realized. Through control systems and safety functions, the function of automatics, interlocks and protections of technological equipment is also ensured.

Electrical logic units (LC CE) include the power plant's own consumption equipment (working and secured power supply) and power output. It contains voltage levels VHV (400 and 110kV), HV (24 and 6kV) and LV. The device consists of transformers, encapsulated conductors, generator switches, cabling, 6 and 0.4 kV switchboards, electrical protections and automatics, cordless batteries, inverters and rectifiers and, last but not least, measuring and monitoring systems.

I&C Energo a.s., in addition to the above-mentioned contracts, also participates in the maintenance of electrical and control system equipment within other logical units at both Czech nuclear power plants, in cooperation with ŠKODA JS a.s. and ČEZ ENERGOSERVIS spol. s r.o.
