NPP Temelín - Removal of manual assembly and disassembly of hoses during the switching of the cooling of the air-conditioning units

I&C Energo has won a public contract for the implementation of the project "Removal of manual assembly and disassembly of hoses during the switching of the cooling of the UV07 and UV09 air-conditioning units from the VF system to the dry pipe system".

The subject of the contract is the installation of double-row three-way valves on the cooling water inlet and outlet of the air conditioning unit (essential service water (ESW) and dry pipework). Specifically, this involves the modification of the ESW inlet and outlet pipework of the so-called dry pipework of the non-essential service water (NESW) system to the turbine buildings of the UV07 and UV09 HVAC systems so that a locking parallel three-way ball valve can be installed. The disassembly of the dry pipework in the individual turbine buildings of the UV7 and UV09 air-conditioning units will also be carried out. The piping, including the three-way valves, will be delivered in stainless steel material.

The whole equipment is classified as selected equipment of the safety class BT3 according to Decree 329/2017 Coll. and is subject to conformity assessment according to Decree 358/2016 Coll. §12 paragraph 3. The project will be implemented during outages in 2024 and 2025.
