Possibility of reducing the pressure in gas tanks at the Dukovany NPP

After winning the competitive tendering, I&C Energo a.s. will be implementing the project "7294 - Possibility of reducing the pressure in gas tanks" at the Dukovany NPP.

The purpose of the work is to install a return pipe with electrical fittings from each gas tank so as to allow the return of the contents of these gas tanks into the hermetic zone. The return pipe will be controlled from the unit and emergency control rooms. Part of the work is the processing of the documentation, delivery and subsequent implementation of the work in the form of "turnkey" delivery and the implementation of all necessary modifications to the affected equipment, structures and systems in accordance with the requirements of the client. The aim is to enable the use of the content of gas tanks in solving beyond-design-basis accidents.

The subject of the work is subject to the requirements of Decree No. 358/2016 Coll., on requirements for assurance of quality and technical safety and assessment and verification of conformity of selected equipment. The work is classified as a selected device in safety classes - BT 2 and BT 3.

The project will be implemented in five sub-units. Completion is scheduled for June 2023.
