Replacement of essential service water (ESW) pipelines for cooling air-conditioning units and other appliances at the main production unit at the Temelín NPP

I&C Energo has won a public contract for the project "F254 - 1(2)VF - Replacement of ESW pipelines for cooling air-conditioning units and other appliances at the main production unit".

The subject of the work, the implementation of which will take place in the years 2022 to 2027, is the processing of the Documentation part and subsequent implementation of the work consisting in replacing of selected pipelines and their ESW system components (fittings, pressure hoses, measuring and throttling zones), which are made of carbon steel, with equivalent made of stainless steel, including dimensional change (DN15, DN20 to DN25).

The purpose of the work is the proper ensuring of the supply of ESW to air-conditioning units and other appliances at the main production units 1 and 2 at the Temelín NPP and guarantee of heat dissipation from selected appliances, including elimination of unplanned Limits and Conditions pumping, prevention of material used degradation and corrosion clogging, elimination of local pipeline leaks and unreliability of shut-off valves. The purpose is also to increase the technical service life and throughput of the VF system pipelines, to reduce the risk of them being attacked by corrosion, the deposition of corrosion products and the occurrence of leaks on the VF system pipelines and components.
